Suzano (NYSE:SUZ) reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of R$11.6 billion, adjusted EBITDA of R$4.7 billion, and net income of R$1.8 billion as pulp and paper sales volumes increased.
The company sold 3.3 million tonnes of products during the quarter, including 2.9 million tonnes of pulp and 406 thousand tonnes of paper, with results improving compared with the previous quarter despite foreign exchange pressure and higher input costs.
Suzano reported operating cash generation of R$2.9 billion, while its pulp production cash cost excluding downtime remained broadly stable year over year at R$843 per tonne, and the company continued using hedging policies to manage Brent price volatility.
The company ended the quarter with net debt to adjusted EBITDA leverage of 3.4 times in U.S. dollars and said it remains focused on reducing leverage through operating cash generation, efficiency improvements, and capital allocation.
Suzano is a pulp and paper producer with operations across packaging, printing and writing, specialty, and tissue segments, with pulp representing the majority of its sales volume.
After the quarter ended, Suzano completed the acquisition of a 51% stake in Arbex, a tissue company formed with Kimberly-Clark, for US$1.3 billion, with operations beginning July 1, 2026 and financial consolidation expected from Q3 2026.
