Sunshine gets Canadian approval for 1mg Anastrozole

Sunshine Biopharma (NASDAQ:SBFM) received Canadian regulatory approval for its 1mg generic Anastrozole tablets, the equivalent of Arimidex.

The approved product is listed under Nora Pharma, Sunshine Biopharma’s Canadian subsidiary and prescription drug distribution business.

Anastrozole is used as adjuvant therapy for postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer.

Sunshine Biopharma said it will distribute the product in Canada through Nora Pharma and expects shipments to begin before the end of 2026.

Following the announcement, Sunshine Biopharma's share price was up at $2.04.

Sunshine Biopharma’s prescription drug business is focused on generic medicines sold through Nora Pharma in the Canadian market.

The approval adds another oncology-related generic product to Sunshine Biopharma’s commercial portfolio in Canada.
