Strawberry Fields REIT (NYSE:STRW) completed the acquisition of a healthcare campus in Marshall, Missouri, adding a 60-bed hospital, a 99-bed skilled nursing facility, and a medical office building to its portfolio.

The transaction expands Strawberry Fields’ Missouri holdings to 21 healthcare facilities and adds the properties to an existing master lease with an affiliate of American Medical Administrators, formerly known as Reliant Care Group.

The company’s CEO said acquisition activity started slowly during the year, but the completed transaction and additional deals under consideration could support stronger activity toward year-end.

The company’s portfolio now includes 145 healthcare facilities with more than 15,600 beds across Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.

Strawberry Fields REIT said the acquisition expands its healthcare real estate portfolio and continues its strategy of owning and leasing medical facilities.

The company’s assets include 131 skilled nursing facilities, 10 assisted living facilities, three hospitals, and one medical office building across its operating markets.

Strawberry Fields REIT focuses on healthcare real estate investments, with properties leased to healthcare operators providing long-term care and medical services.
