SQM revenue doubles to $4.23 billion in H1 2026

SQM (NYSE:SQM) reported first-half 2026 revenue of $4.23 billion, up 103.4% year over year, as net income increased to $1.02 billion.

Revenue increased from $2.08 billion in the prior-year period, while gross profit rose to $2.04 billion and represented 48.2% of revenue compared with 26.7% a year earlier.

Second-quarter net income reached $660 million, or $2.31 per share, compared with $88.4 million, or $0.31 per share, in Q2 2025, while the company reported record lithium sales volumes above 84 thousand metric tons LCE.

Following the announcement, SQM's share price was unchanged at $72.95 in premarket trading.

SQM also reported record iodine prices and quarterly revenue, along with higher specialty plant nutrition volumes and prices during the first half of 2026.

During the period, SQM and its subsidiaries accrued more than $1.6 billion in payments to the Chilean State, while the company scheduled a results conference call for August 19, 2026.

SQM operates businesses across lithium, iodine, specialty plant nutrition, industrial chemicals and potassium products, with lithium remaining a major contributor to recent revenue growth.
