
S&P Global completes datacenterHawk acquisition

S&P Global (NYSE:SPGI) completed its acquisition of datacenterHawk, adding proprietary intelligence on global data center, fiber optic, and related infrastructure markets to S&P Global Energy.
The acquisition expands S&P Global’s data capabilities by adding information on data center supply, demand, pricing, development pipelines, and site selection through datacenterHawk and its FiberLocator platform.
S&P Global said datacenterHawk’s data will be integrated with its global power market coverage, grid infrastructure analysis, supply and demand forecasting, and 451 Research technology intelligence.
The company expects the transaction to support insights for investment decisions, site selection, and strategic planning across AI infrastructure markets.
S&P Global provides financial information, analytics, and intelligence services across financial markets, commodities, energy, and technology sectors.
The company said the acquisition strengthens its coverage of the growing AI infrastructure ecosystem, although financial terms were not disclosed and the deal is not expected to materially affect financial results.
