The orders cover 10 systems scheduled for shipment to three geographic locations and expand a multi-year relationship with a customer already operating Sono-Tek systems, compared with previous individual customer orders.
Sono-Tek expects delivery primarily during fiscal 2028, which begins March 1, 2027, although shipment timing may change based on production schedules and customer requirements, while the company’s backlog also includes a previously announced medical diagnostic production line order exceeding $3.6 million.
The combined value of the clean energy coating system orders and the medical diagnostic production line order represents more than $10.79 million in backlog, with the programs involving separate customers in alternative energy and medical device markets.
Sono-Tek develops precision coating systems used in industries including clean energy, electronics, medical devices and advanced manufacturing, with the company continuing to expand applications for its coating technology.
