SLB OneSubsea wins Rovuma LNG subsea systems contract in Mozambique

• SLB’s OneSubsea joint venture secured a contract from ExxonMobil Moçambique to provide subsea production systems for the first phase of the Rovuma LNG project.
• The contract covers subsea trees, manifolds, umbilicals, control systems, engineering, manufacturing, and installation services.
• SLB OneSubsea plans to establish a services base in Mozambique to support regional operations and local workforce development.

SLB (NYSE:SLB) announced that its OneSubsea joint venture has been awarded a contract by ExxonMobil Moçambique, Limitada, on behalf of its Area 4 partners, to deliver subsea production systems for the first phase of the offshore Rovuma LNG project in Mozambique.

The Area 4 partnership includes Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH), CNPC, Eni, KOGAS, and XRG.

The contract will support development of deepwater gas resources as Mozambique expands its offshore LNG sector.

Under the agreement, SLB OneSubsea will provide subsea trees, manifolds, umbilicals, and associated control systems designed to support production from the deepwater field.

The company will also provide engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and installation services.

SLB OneSubsea said the project builds on its experience delivering subsea technologies for complex deepwater developments worldwide.

As part of its support for the project, SLB OneSubsea plans to establish a services base in Mozambique.

The facility is expected to support regional operations while creating local training, employment opportunities, and supply-chain development.
