SL Science (NASDAQ:SLBT) presented preclinical glioblastoma data showing complete tumor eradication by day 26 at an 8:1 immune-cell-to-cancer-cell ratio.
The research with Taipei Medical University, JY BioMed and HeXun Biosciences delivered expanded γδ T cells directly into tumors.
Repeated direct-to-brain dosing produced dose-dependent tumor suppression, while health screenings and blood panels found no major safety concerns, according to SL Science.
Following the announcement, SL Science's share price was up 0.7% at $4.33 in premarket trading.
SL Science submitted an FDA orphan drug designation request for its Vdelta2+ γδ T-cell glioblastoma therapy, which remains under review.
The company began Nasdaq trading in June after a business combination intended to support preclinical and planned clinical programmes targeting brain and pancreatic cancers.
