Revenue increased from US$1.1 million in fiscal Q2, when SemiLEDs recorded a $603,000 net loss, or $0.07 per diluted share.
Gross margin improved to 27% from 1%, while operating margin rose to 16% from negative 79% in the previous quarter.
Cash and cash equivalents increased to $6 million from $4 million, while the company attributed the revenue increase to more buy-sell equipment orders.
SemiLEDs said it anticipates more buy-sell orders in fiscal Q4.
Following the announcement, the SemiLEDs share price was down 5.5% at $1.52 in premarket trading.
SemiLEDs began fiscal 2026 with first-quarter revenue of US$2.6 million and a net loss of US$742,000 before revenue fell further in Q2.
