Scorpio Tankers announces vessel sales and newbuild purchases

Scorpio Tankers (NYSE:STNG) announced agreements to sell three product tankers and acquire four newbuilding vessels as part of its fleet management strategy.
The company agreed to sell STI Dama for $37.5 million, STI Elysees for $70 million, and STI Veneto for $73.0 million.
The transactions are expected to close before the end of 2026.
Separately, Scorpio Tankers agreed to purchase four newbuilding vessels, including two LR2 product tankers priced at $72.8 million each and two very large crude carriers (VLCCs) priced at $135.0 million each.
The two LR2 tankers are expected to be delivered in October and November 2029, while the two VLCCs are scheduled for delivery in September and October 2028.
