Satellogic (NASDAQ:SATL) successfully launched its first Merlin satellite and three NewSat spacecraft into low-Earth orbit on October 1, 2026.
The payload, comprising Merlin.01, two NewSat Mark VIs, and one NewSat Mark V, lifted off aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
The company confirmed that all deployed spacecraft have successfully contacted its ground station network.
Payload testing and commissioning for Merlin.01 are scheduled to begin after the initial phase concludes in mid-October 2026.
The company stated the Merlin constellation is on track for full operational capacity in the second half of 2027, featuring onboard artificial intelligence designed to remap Earth daily.
