Ryder System (NYSE:R) announced the successful acquisition of Truck Service Depot, an Atlanta-based mobile maintenance firm, on January 5, 2026.
The move is a strategic bolt-on for Torque by Ryder™, the company’s rapidly expanding retail mobile maintenance division, as it seeks to capture a larger share of the on-demand fleet service market in the Southeast.
Founded in 2018 by Scott Marshall, Truck Service Depot brings a specialized team of over 20 skilled technicians and a dual-location footprint in Georgia.
The acquisition includes a 10-bay full drive-through maintenance facility in Atlanta and a strategic service center in Savannah, positioned near the state’s critical port infrastructure.
The integration, set to take place throughout 2026, allows Ryder to offer "doorstep" maintenance with no long-term contracts—a key feature of the Torque by Ryder™ business model.
By combining Truck Service Depot’s local density with Ryder’s national scale, the company aims to reduce vehicle downtime for Georgia-based fleets while expanding its technician workforce.
This acquisition follows a series of regional expansions in late 2025, including a new full-service facility in McDonough, GA, as Ryder capitalizes on Georgia's fast-growing $83 billion logistics economy.
