RTX wins £2 billion UK Army training contract

• RTX’s Raytheon UK-led Omnia Training consortium won a £2 billion, 15-year UK Ministry of Defence contract.
• The programme is expected to create 270 new jobs and sustain 150 existing roles in the UK.
• RTX said the contract will deliver a digitally enabled Army collective training system using virtual and data-driven environments.

RTX (NYSE:RTX), through Raytheon UK’s Omnia Training consortium, was awarded a £2 billion, 15-year contract by the UK Ministry of Defence to serve as the British Army’s Strategic Training Partner and deliver the Army’s Collective Training System.

The contract expands RTX’s defence services activities in the UK as military organisations continue adopting digital, virtual and synthetic training environments to support operational preparation.

The Raytheon UK-led consortium includes Capita, Cervus, Rheinmetall UK and Skyral, with the programme expected to create 270 new jobs and sustain a further 150 roles across the UK.

RTX said the contract will support the development and delivery of the Army’s Collective Training System over 15 years.

RTX operates across aerospace and defence markets, providing aircraft systems, missile defence technologies, sensors and military solutions to government and commercial customers.

The company has continued expanding its defence and technology programmes through government contracts, including long-term agreements focused on military readiness, advanced systems and operational support.
