
RTX sales hit $24.7 billion after 14% increase
- RTX reported second-quarter sales of $24.7 billion, up 14%, while adjusted EPS increased 21% to $1.89.
- RTX shares were up 0.6% at $194.88 in premarket trading following the results.
- The company raised its full-year sales, earnings and free-cash-flow forecasts as backlog reached $289 billion.
RTX (NYSE:RTX) reported second-quarter sales of $24.7 billion, up 14%, as organic growth reached 16% across its aerospace and defense businesses.
Adjusted EPS increased 21% to $1.89, while GAAP EPS reached $1.57 and adjusted net income rose 22% to $2.6 billion.
Operating cash flow reached $3.5 billion and adjusted free cash flow improved to $2.9 billion from a negative result one year earlier.
RTX ended the quarter with a $289 billion backlog, comprising $170 billion in commercial orders and $119 billion in defense work.
Following the announcement, RTX's share price was up 0.6% at $194.88 in premarket trading.
Meanwhile, RTX agreed to sell Raytheon’s Blue Canyon Technologies satellite business to MDA Space for $620 million in cash, subject to regulatory approvals.
RTX said it now expects 2026 adjusted sales of $95.0 billion–$96.0 billion, adjusted EPS of $7.10–$7.25 and free cash flow of $8.50 billion–$8.75 billion.
