RTX to supply 220 GTF engines to BOC Aviation

RTX (NYSE:RTX), via its Pratt & Whitney business, announced it will supply up to 220 GTF engines to BOC Aviation.

The engines will be utilized to power up to 110 Airbus A320neo family aircraft for the global aircraft operating leasing company.

The agreement, which was originally signed as an undisclosed deal in June 2025, represents BOC Aviation's largest single order with Pratt & Whitney.

According to RTX, the GTF engines provide significant operational benefits, delivering a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and producing a 75% smaller noise footprint when compared to prior-generation engines.

The manufacturer highlighted the widespread adoption of the technology, noting that more than 2,800 GTF-powered aircraft are currently operating across over 90 customers worldwide.

RTX emphasized the continuing strong demand for the engine technology, reporting that the GTF engine backlog now exceeds 8,000 units globally.
