Rocket Lab completes 16th Electron launch

Rocket Lab (NASDAQ:RKLB) completed its 16th Electron launch of 2026, successfully deploying an Earth observation satellite for a confidential customer from Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand.

The “Happily Ever Faster” mission lifted off at 3:28 p.m. NZST on September 11 and placed the satellite into a 500-kilometer circular low Earth orbit.

The launch represents Rocket Lab’s 95th Electron mission overall and was conducted as a dedicated mission for a single customer.

Rocket Lab provides commercial launch services through its Electron rocket, which is designed for small satellite deployment missions.

The company said its next Electron mission for another commercial constellation operator is planned before the end of September 2026.
