
SEGRO to recommend Prologis £14 billion proposal
- SEGRO’s board said it may recommend Prologis’ final proposal, which values the company at approximately £14 billion.
- Prologis shares were down 3.1% at $145.27, while SEGRO closed 2.9% higher at 895 pence.
- The UK takeover deadline was extended to August 12, 2026, allowing both companies additional time to negotiate a firm offer.
Prologis (NYSE:PLD) moved closer to acquiring SEGRO after SEGRO’s board indicated support for its approximately £14 billion final proposal.
The proposal values each SEGRO share at 1,031.7 pence, 39% above its closing price before Prologis’ interest became public.
SEGRO’s potential recommendation remains subject to due diligence and final documents, while Prologis must announce an offer or withdraw by August 12.
Following the announcement, Prologis' share price was down 3.1% at $145.27 as investors assessed the extended negotiations.
Prologis offered 0.0920 shares per SEGRO share and a partial cash alternative of up to £3.5 billion.
Prologis said the combination could expand its European logistics and data-centre portfolio, although the possible transaction is not yet a firm offer.
