Profound Medical signs Telix prostate imaging agreement

Profound Medical (NASDAQ:PROF) entered a co-education agreement with Telix Pharmaceuticals to support physician education on imaging-informed prostate care.
The agreement creates a framework for education involving Telix’s PSMA-PET molecular imaging and Profound’s MRI-guided TULSA-PRO prostate tissue ablation platform.
Planned activities include medical meetings, physician speaker programs, webinars and clinical case studies focused on diagnostic imaging and treatment planning.
Profound said the collaboration increases its access to urologists in the United States and internationally and could broaden the population considered for the TULSA Procedure.
The company is also developing image-fusion capabilities for a future Treatment Delivery Console software release that is intended to combine Telix diagnostic imaging data with real-time MRI.
Profound said the planned software functionality is designed to give physicians additional imaging information during treatment planning.
The company said improved patient selection and treatment outcomes are potential benefits of the planned integration, although those outcomes have not yet been established.
