Presearch announced that all 142 Node NFT licences offered in its inaugural auction sold out within a single day, marking a major milestone for the decentralised search project.
The San Diego-based company said bidding activity was double initial expectations, with total proceeds exceeding four million PRE tokens against a two million token reserve.
Presearch explained that the auction introduced a community-driven structure combining digital art, decentralised infrastructure participation and long-term network incentives.
Each Node NFT functions both as a standalone artwork and as a licence enabling holders to activate a network node once orchestration tools go live.
The company confirmed that node operators will be able to earn ongoing rewards for supporting the Presearch search network.
This auction was about mission meeting earning power and we are glad that the Presearch community and beyond responded so enthusiastically.
Tim Enneking said.
That we were able to sell out twice the reserve in just one day wildly exceeded even our most optimistic expectations.
Tim Enneking added.
The NFTs form part of the Wasteland Web collection created by digital artist Smokenmirrors, featuring 142 unique designs.
Presearch said the artwork reflects a vision of an internet free from algorithmic control and centralised dominance.
Unlike traditional NFT drops, each token also acts as a licence key under Presearch’s upcoming Node Orchestration layer.
This orchestration system underpins the Presearch 3.0 architecture and is designed to simplify node operations globally.
The upgrade will expand decentralised crawling, indexing and retrieval through Presearch’s independent index, Indee.
Presearch said the Node NFT sale represents the first phase of a broader rollout for Presearch 3.0.
The company aims to support underrepresented, high-value online content through what it calls Frontier Intelligence.
Future node sales are planned as search demand grows and network capacity scales.
Presearch added that ongoing auctions will strengthen PRE tokenomics by returning tokens to treasury.
The firm said this model is intended to create long-term scarcity, utility and a sustainable economic cycle.
At the time of reporting, Presearch price was $0.00357.
