
Oruka reports psoriasis trial results
- Oruka Therapeutics (NASDAQ:ORKA) reported positive Week 28 results from its Phase 2a EVERLAST-A trial of ORKA-001 in plaque psoriasis.
- PASI 100 response rates reached 71.4% among patients initially randomized to ORKA-001 six months after the last dose.
- Oruka reported that ORKA-001 was generally well tolerated, with no injection site reactions observed in the study period.
Oruka Therapeutics (NASDAQ:ORKA) reported positive Week 28 results from the Phase 2a EVERLAST-A trial evaluating ORKA-001 in patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.
Among patients initially randomized to ORKA-001, PASI 100 response rates increased to 71.4% (45 of 63 patients) at Week 28 after reaching 63.5% at Week 16.
The study showed PASI 90 responses of 87.3% (55 of 63 patients) and IGA 0/1 responses of 84.1% (53 of 63 patients) among patients initially treated with ORKA-001.
Patients who received placebo initially and crossed over to ORKA-001 at Week 16 achieved PASI 100 responses in 40.0% (8 of 20 patients) by Week 28, while 42.9% of the original active treatment group achieved PASI 100 at the same post-dose timeframe.
Oruka reported that upper respiratory tract infection was the only treatment-emergent adverse event occurring in at least 5% of patients between Weeks 16 and 28, affecting 8% (7 of 83 patients), while two serious adverse events were reported and neither was considered related to the drug.
