Old Dominion Freight Line (NASDAQ:ODFL) reported August 2026 less-than-truckload (LTL) operating metrics, with revenue per day increasing 12.4% year over year due to higher revenue per hundredweight.
The increase compared with August 2025 was partly offset by a 0.9% decline in LTL tons per day, which reflected lower shipment volume during the month.
Old Dominion reported that LTL shipments per day decreased 2.4%, while LTL weight per shipment increased 1.7% compared with the prior-year period.
The company reported quarter-to-date LTL revenue per hundredweight increased 11.3% year over year, while LTL revenue per hundredweight excluding fuel surcharges increased 4.8%.
