Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang said demand for computing resources is accelerating rapidly as artificial intelligence models advance.
Speaking at a live Nvidia event in Las Vegas, Huang described the race for AI capability as increasingly intense.
The amount of computation necessary for AI is skyrocketing. The demand for Nvidia GPUs is skyrocketing.
Jensen Huang said.
He said AI models are growing by an order of magnitude each year, driving the need for faster and more powerful computing.
Huang said companies that compute faster are more likely to reach the next frontier of artificial intelligence development.
The surge in AI demand has already prompted several Bitcoin mining firms to pivot part of their operations towards AI computing.
Rising Bitcoin mining difficulty has made alternative revenue streams such as AI infrastructure more attractive to miners.
Huang said Nvidia’s next-generation Rubin and Vera chips are now in full production and on schedule.
He added that the combined chips are expected to deliver up to five times greater AI computing performance than earlier models.
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $93,523.38.
