
NRx Pharmaceuticals Q2 loss narrows to $18 million
- NRx Pharmaceuticals reported a first-half 2026 net loss of $18 million, narrowing from $23.1 million a year earlier.

NRx Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:NRXP) reported a first-half 2026 net loss of $18 million versus $23.1 million a year earlier, while cash increased to $26.7 million.
Operating loss widened to $11.3 million from $7.6 million as NRx increased development spending and costs related to preparations for a potential preservative-free ketamine launch.
The FDA completed first-cycle review of NRx's preservative-free ketamine ANDA without drug-related major deficiencies, while the company began manufacturing five million potential launch doses and targets one million units monthly after launch.
NRx said it aims for ketamine commercialization in 2026 and NRX-100 approval in 2027.
Following the announcement, NRx Pharmaceuticals' share price was down 2.4% at $3.27.
The company was selected as DARPA's prime contractor for the SPARC-TMS NRX-101 trial, with NRx anticipating more than $11.5 million of non-dilutive funding subject to contracting.
NRx also expanded its HOPE Therapeutics clinical network and invested in Geneuro, which holds clinical-stage monoclonal antibody programs targeting neurological and psychiatric diseases.
