NOV lowers Q1 2026 outlook amid Middle East operational disruptions
NOV (NYSE:NOV) announced today that it has lowered its financial guidance for the first quarter of 2026, citing unforeseen operational and logistical disruptions caused by the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
The Houston-based energy equipment and services provider noted that the geopolitical instability has hindered its ability to fulfill certain contracts and maintain standard supply chain timelines in the region.
The company now anticipates first-quarter revenue to come in at approximately $2.05 billion, with operating profit estimated at $47 million.
Adjusted EBITDA is projected to reach $177 million.
According to management, the regional conflict resulted in a direct reduction of approximately $54 million in estimated revenue and a $32 million impact on adjusted EBITDA for the period.
These figures fall below the prior guidance the company had issued at the start of the fiscal year, highlighting the sensitivity of global energy infrastructure providers to regional security shifts.
Despite these headwinds, NOV continues to manage its global operations to mitigate further impact on its consolidated performance.
