NorthStrive Biosciences reports positive Phase III AI drug results
- NorthStrive Biosciences (NASDAQ:ELAB) reported positive Phase III results from an AI-driven drug discovery program with Yuva Biosciences.
- The Yuva MitoNova™ platform identified four small-molecule candidates that increased ANT1 expression in muscle cells.
- The results support further confirmatory testing in more mature skeletal muscle models.
NorthStrive Biosciences (NASDAQ:ELAB), a PMGC subsidiary, reported positive Phase III results from an AI-assisted drug discovery collaboration with Yuva Biosciences.
The program used Yuva’s MitoNova™ AI platform to identify four small-molecule candidates, labeled C1 through C4, targeting metabolic activity in skeletal muscle cells.
The company said the candidates significantly increased ANT1 expression in primary human skeletal muscle cells, which is an early biological marker linked to mitochondrial function.
NorthStrive said the findings support confirmatory testing in more mature skeletal muscle models to further validate the results.
The program is part of a broader effort to use AI-based screening tools to accelerate early-stage drug discovery.
NorthStrive said the results represent a step toward advancing preclinical validation before potential clinical development.
