Nathan’s Famous revenue rises 15% to $54.1 million

Nathan’s Famous (NASDAQ:NATH) reported fiscal Q1 2027 revenue of $54.1 million, up about 15%, while net income edged down to $8.8 million.

Revenue increased from $47 million a year earlier, while operating income slipped to $12.7 million from $12.8 million and diluted EPS declined to $2.14 from $2.16.

Branded Product Program revenue increased to $35 million from $29.1 million and product licensing revenue rose to $13.6 million from $12.4 million.

Adjusted EBITDA increased to $13.6 million from $13.5 million, while Nathan’s paid its previously declared $0.50-per-share quarterly cash dividend on June 30.

Nathan’s said Branded Product Program hot-dog volumes increased about 8%, although segment operating income fell to $1.3 million as beef and beef-trimming costs increased 22%.

Meanwhile, Smithfield Foods plans to acquire Nathan’s for $102 per share in cash at an enterprise value of about $450 million, with closing expected in the second half of 2026 subject to shareholder approval, CFIUS clearance and other conditions.
