Nasdaq revenue rises 15% to $1.5 billion

Nasdaq (NASDAQ:NDAQ) reported second-quarter net revenue of $1.5 billion, up 15%, as each of its three operating divisions recorded growth.

Adjusted earnings reached $1.07 per share, above analysts’ average estimate of $0.98 and 25% higher than a year earlier.

“We delivered double-digit growth across all three divisions, surpassed $1 trillion in Index ETP AUM, and listed SpaceX,” said Nasdaq Chair and CEO Adena Friedman.

Nasdaq returned $530 million through dividends and buybacks, repaid $162 million of debt and set adjusted expenses at $2.53–$2.57 billion.

Following the announcement, Nasdaq's share price was up 2.9% at $93.58 in early trading.

Nasdaq’s Financial Technology division added 58 clients, while its Verafin financial-crime platform signed 47 smaller banks and six enterprise customers.

Recent moves included SpaceX’s listing, SK hynix’s ADR listing, planned event options, Calypso tokenised trades and agreements involving Dasseti and Nasdaq Fund Secondaries.
