  • Meta (NASDAQ:META) introduced new AI-powered smart glasses designed in-house, priced starting at $299.
  • The launch expands Meta’s wearable lineup alongside existing Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley models made with EssilorLuxottica.
  • The company is pushing broader market reach as it scales AI glasses adoption and integrates new AI models.

Meta (NASDAQ:META) launched a new line of AI-powered smart glasses called Meta Glasses, priced from $299 and designed in-house while still working in partnership with EssilorLuxottica.

The new product sits below Meta’s existing smart glasses, including Ray-Ban Meta at $379 and Oakley Meta at $499, marking a lower entry price point for the category.

“You really want to be able to be in many places in the market,” said Meta CTO and Reality Labs head Andrew Bosworth during a question-and-answer session at a pre-launch event in New York.

Meta said the Meta Glasses will come in three styles, including Meta Adventurer, Meta Fury, and Meta Glasses by Kylie priced at $399, which also offers an optional Kylie Jenner voice for the AI assistant.

Meta has been expanding its smart glasses strategy as CEO Mark Zuckerberg said user adoption of its glasses tripled year over year in recent reporting.

The company is also scaling AI infrastructure tied to wearables, including the Muse Spark AI model under Meta Superintelligence Labs, while CFO Susan Li said Reality Labs revenue fell 2% year-over-year but was supported by growth in AI glasses sales.
