Adjusted earnings per share reached $5.04, above the expected $4.77, while net income increased to $4.39 billion from $3.70 billion in the prior-year quarter.
Switched transactions increased 9% to 47.4 billion during the quarter, while value-added services and expansion beyond traditional payment networks contributed to revenue growth.
Looking ahead, Mastercard updated its full-year 2026 revenue growth outlook to the low-teens range.
Meanwhile, the company continued expanding payment solutions and digital services as transaction activity increased across consumer spending and international travel categories.
