
LyondellBasell reports profit growth as Q2 net income reaches $559M

LyondellBasell (NYSE:LYB) reported second-quarter 2026 net income of $559 million, or $1.71 per diluted share, on sales of $9.2 billion, while adjusted EBITDA reached $2.1 billion excluding identified items.
Excluding $842 million of after-tax identified items, including asset sale losses and restructuring-related costs, net income was $1.4 billion and diluted EPS was $4.30.
The quarter included a $734 million loss from the sale of select European assets, along with asset write-downs, Cash Improvement Plan costs and site closure expenses, while operating cash flow reached $752 million.
LyondellBasell completed the divestiture of four European assets, maintained its $500 million incremental cash improvement target by the end of 2026.
The company ended the quarter with $2.6 billion in cash and $7.1 billion in available liquidity, while capital expenditures totaled $270 million and dividends paid reached $224 million.
