Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) introduced the MORFIUS X-Rotor, an airborne microwave counter-drone system designed to neutralize 50 hostile targets.

This field-recoverable technology replaces single-use interceptors to lower the cost per kill during sustained aerial engagements.

The defense contractor engineered the platform to operate without relying on dedicated fire-control radars or specific command networks.

The company recently completed testing campaigns across Arizona, California, and Oklahoma to accelerate initial prototype production.

Following the announcement, Lockheed Martin's share price was down at $508.77.

The manufacturer stated that this ground-launched system provides unique kill capacity across any standard command and control framework.

This engineering program directly aligns with the U.S. Department of War’s 2025-2028 Rapid Response Counter-UAS Roadmap.
