Lifezone Metals (NYSE:LZM) announced a US$8 million reduction in the consideration payable to BHP (NYSE:BHP) following an independent review.

The cost reduction stems from a July 2025 definitive agreement to acquire a 17% equity interest in the project.

The remaining consideration comprises a fixed US$10 million payment and a contingent US$28 million payment indexed to the share price.

The independent assessment confirmed that the resettlement action plan strictly aligns with the performance standards of the International Finance Corporation.

The company stated that it remains committed to meeting international developmental benchmarks to create long-term value for all project stakeholders.
