Li Auto (NASDAQ:LI) reported a cooling in delivery momentum to start 2026, as the Beijing-based automaker delivered 27,668 vehicles in January.
While the figure represents a decline of approximately 7.6% compared to the same month last year, the company’s cumulative deliveries reached a milestone of 1,567,883 vehicles as of Jan. 31, 2026.
Despite the seasonal dip in sales, the company accelerated its technological rollout with the deployment of OTA version 8.2.
The software update introduced 40 new features and 25 optimizations, specifically focusing on the "VLA Driver" large model.
This upgraded Vision-Language-Action architecture is designed to enhance the vehicle's reasoning capabilities, allowing for more human-like navigation and decision-making in complex urban traffic environments.
To support its expanding fleet, Li Auto continued the aggressive build-out of its physical infrastructure.
As of the end of January, the company operated 547 retail stores across 159 cities and maintained a service presence in 221 cities.
Its proprietary energy network also saw significant expansion, reaching 3,966 supercharging stations equipped with 21,945 charging stalls across China, as the firm aims to reduce range anxiety for its premium electric and extended-range models.
