Kyivstar subsidiary Uklon to acquire micromobility provider E-wings
Kyivstar (NASDAQ:KYIV) has announced that its subsidiary, Uklon, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire E-wings, a prominent Ukrainian operator of electric scooters and micromobility solutions.
The transaction, valued at UAH 97.6 million (approximately USD 2.2 million), is slated to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
This acquisition marks a pivotal shift for Uklon, the largest ride-hailing platform in Ukraine, as it evolves from a specialized ride-sharing service into an integrated urban mobility ecosystem.
By incorporating E-wings’ scooter rental fleet, Uklon plans to consolidate various transportation options—ranging from vehicle-based ride-hailing to short-distance micromobility—within a single user application.
Upon completion of the transaction, Uklon intends to undergo a transitional period to integrate E-wings' electric scooter rental services directly into the core Uklon application, providing users with a unified interface for their daily travel needs.
