Kura Oncology (NASDAQ:KURA) reported 33%–50% response rates for darlifarnib plus cabozantinib among 34 evaluable advanced kidney-cancer patients.
Pooled median progression-free survival reached 13 months, while median response duration remained unconfirmed at most dose levels because responses were continuing.
Kura said more than half of evaluated patients remained on treatment, while the manageable safety assessment covered 72 kidney-cancer patients.
Following the announcement, Kura Oncology's share price was down 0.6% at $10.39, while Phase 1b testing continued toward a planned 2028 study.
Meanwhile, Kura began commercialising KOMZIFTI for relapsed or refractory NPM1-mutated acute myeloid leukaemia, generating $5.8 million in first-quarter sales.
The company held $580.8 million at March-end and expected $180 million in collaboration payments to support clinical development through 2028.
