Kremlin insiders have reportedly drafted a bold proposal to re-embrace the US dollar as part of a sweeping economic reset pitched to a potential Donald Trump administration.

The memo outlines joint oil and LNG projects, preferential access for US firms, and even cooperation on nuclear energy and critical minerals, all tied to a possible Ukraine peace framework.

But beneath the diplomatic theatre lies a strained Russian economy, where slowing growth, weaker oil revenues and a tightly controlled Ruble may be driving the sudden interest in returning to the dollar system.
