
Kailera reports 11.1% weight loss data

Kailera Therapeutics (NASDAQ:KLRA) reported topline data from two Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals Phase 3 trials of oral GLP-1 agonist HRS-7535/KAI-7535 in China, including mean weight loss of up to 11.1%.
The obesity and overweight trial showed mean weight loss of up to 10.9% at Week 44 and up to 11.1% at Week 50.
The type 2 diabetes trial showed HbA1c reductions of 1.50% to 1.68% across doses.
Kailera said liver safety findings were consistent with prior data, with no observed liver safety signals reported in the topline results.
Kailera said it is running a global Phase 2 obesity trial that started in April 2026, with data expected in 2027.
Kailera is developing obesity and metabolic disease treatments, including oral and injectable therapies tied to GLP-1 and related hormone pathways.
Recent company updates have focused on HRS-7535/KAI-7535, ribupatide, the KaiNETIC Phase 3 program, and global obesity studies expected to produce data in 2027 and 2028.
