Jumia (NYSE:JMIA) reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $52 million, up 14% year-over-year, while gross merchandise value increased 20% to $216.3 million.

The company’s gross profit increased 28% to $30.7 million, while operating loss narrowed to $12.4 million from the prior year period and adjusted EBITDA loss declined 36% to $8.7 million.

Jumia announced a $50 million capital raise, including a $25 million investment from the International Finance Corporation, alongside participation from existing shareholders and new investors.

Following the announcement, Jumia's share price was unchanged at $2.43.

The company reported liquidity of $48.3 million at the end of Q2 2026 after a quarterly decrease of $14.3 million, while loss before income tax improved 33% to $10.9 million.

Jumia reaffirmed its target of reaching adjusted EBITDA breakeven and positive cash flow in Q4 2026, followed by full-year adjusted EBITDA profitability in 2027.

The company operates an ecommerce marketplace across African markets, connecting consumers, sellers and logistics providers through its digital platform.
