Joby Aviation (NYSE:JOBY) signed a multi-year agreement making Virgin Atlantic its exclusive UK airline partner for air taxi services.
The binding framework formalizes their 2025 partnership and extends Joby’s existing exclusive arrangement with Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL).
Virgin will add Joby services to its booking platforms, while Joby retains responsibility for operations, routes and UK regulatory approvals.
Following the announcement, Joby Aviation's share price was up 2.3% at $7.66.
Joby said planned routes include Heathrow to central London in eight minutes and Manchester Airport to Leeds in 15 minutes.
Joby has completed thousands of test flights and is pursuing UK certification through cooperation between the FAA and UK Civil Aviation Authority.
