Iridium announces Q2 revenue of $225.2 million, up 4%

Iridium Communications (NASDAQ:IRDM) reported second-quarter revenue of $225.2 million, up 4%, with service revenue reaching $161.3 million.

Net income fell from $22 million to $9.7 million, while operational EBITDA declined from $121.3 million to $119.1 million.

Subscribers increased 6% to 2.627 million, while capital spending reached $21.8 million and net leverage ended at 3.3 times.

Following the announcement, Iridium's share price was up 1.8% at $47.24.

Meanwhile, Iridium completed its $366.7 million Aireon acquisition on July 2 and assumed $154.7 million of Aireon debt.

Additionally, Rocket Lab (NASDAQ:RKLB) agreed to acquire Iridium for approximately $8 billion, with closing expected in mid-2027 subject to approvals.
