Inhibrx Biosciences (NASDAQ:INBX) reported Phase 2 HexAgon trial results showing INBRX-106 combined with pembrolizumab achieved a 48.3% confirmed objective response rate in first-line head and neck cancer patients.
The randomized study compared INBRX-106 plus pembrolizumab with pembrolizumab alone in patients with PD-L1 positive metastatic or unresectable recurrent head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
The combination arm recorded a median progression-free survival of 9.6 months compared with 4.9 months for pembrolizumab alone, while six-month progression-free survival was 72.4% versus 42.8%.
In HPV-positive patients, INBRX-106 plus pembrolizumab achieved an 80% confirmed objective response rate compared with 33.3% for pembrolizumab alone, with 90% of combination-treated patients remaining progression-free at six months.
Inhibrx develops biologic therapies targeting immune pathways, with INBRX-106 being evaluated as an OX40 agonist for solid tumors including head and neck cancer and other highly immunogenic cancers.
