Infosys (NYSE:INFY) and Cognition announced a strategic collaboration on January 7, 2026, to scale Devin, the world’s first autonomous AI software engineer, across Infosys’ vast global operations.

The partnership aims to revolutionize the software development lifecycle by integrating Devin’s agentic capabilities with Infosys Topaz Fabric, a modular AI services layer designed to orchestrate enterprise-grade AI agents and workflows.

The collaboration follows a six-month internal pilot at Infosys, which reported "significant improvements" in engineering quality and efficiency.

By combining Topaz Fabric's secure, interoperable data and model infrastructure with Devin's ability to autonomously plan, code, and debug, the companies intend to drastically reduce technical debt and accelerate the "brownfield" modernization of legacy systems for global enterprises.
