IDEXX acquires CoVetAI veterinary AI

IDEXX Laboratories (NASDAQ:IDXX) acquired CoVetAI, a provider of AI-powered ambient listening and clinical workflow software for veterinary practices worldwide.

The acquisition adds technology that helps veterinary teams capture and organize information during consultations, treatment planning, and client follow-up while expanding IDEXX’s software and diagnostics offerings.

CoVetAI’s software will be integrated into the IDEXX software ecosystem, while continuing support for other ambient scribe solutions and integrations with non-IDEXX practice management systems.

IDEXX said the acquisition supports its strategy of connecting software, diagnostics, and artificial intelligence tools to improve workflow efficiency and access to clinical information.

IDEXX provides veterinary diagnostics, software, and healthcare technology solutions, with more than 10,000 clinics using its cloud-based practice management systems globally.

The company said CoVetAI’s technology could support deeper integration of patient information before, during, and after veterinary visits through platforms including IDEXX VetConnect PLUS.
