  • IDEAYA Biosciences reported a 57% eye preservation rate among primary uveal melanoma patients initially recommended for eye removal in its OptimUM-09 trial.
  • In OptimUM-01, darovasertib plus crizotinib achieved 7.4 months of median progression-free survival and 27.1 months of median overall survival in 13 previously untreated patients.
  • IDEAYA plans to present updated findings at ESMO 2026 and complete its U.S. regulatory submission for darovasertib plus crizotinib in the second half of 2026.

IDEAYA Biosciences (NASDAQ:IDYA) reported a 57% eye preservation rate in its OptimUM-09 trial, alongside updated darovasertib findings from two metastatic uveal melanoma studies.

The OptimUM-01 combination achieved 7.4 months of median progression-free survival and 27.1 months of median overall survival among 13 previously untreated patients.

โ€œThese three clinical updates at ESMO continue to support our belief in the potential for darovasertib to address important unmet needs across the uveal melanoma treatment journey,โ€ said IDEAYA Biosciences Chief Executive Officer Yujiro S. Hata.

OptimUM-09 showed reduced planned radiation doses in 66% of its radiation cohort, while 8.9% of OptimUM-01 participants discontinued treatment because of related adverse events.

IDEAYA plans to present updated June 15 findings at ESMO on October 24 and complete its regulatory submission in 2026.

OptimUM-02 previously demonstrated median progression-free survival of 6.9 months against 3.1 months with investigator-selected therapy, with updated subgroup analyses supporting the earlier findings.

IDEAYA partnered with Servier in 2025 to develop darovasertib internationally, while maintaining U.S. rights and pursuing additional targeted cancer therapies.
