Hut 8 (NASDAQ:HUT) has announced a strategic partnership with Anthropic and Fluidstack to build hyperscale AI data center infrastructure in the U.S., with an initial deployment of 245 MW at River Bend.
The deal, revealed on Dec. 17, 2025, outlines a pathway for scaling up to 2,295 MW of utility capacity in multiple phases.
The first phase will involve a 245 MW IT deployment at River Bend, supported by a 330 MW utility capacity.
The partnership also includes a Right of First Offer (ROFO) for up to an additional 1,000 MW at River Bend, contingent on power expansion at the site.
Furthermore, an optional pipeline for joint diligence could unlock up to 1,050 MW across Hut 8’s other development sites.
This collaboration marks a significant step in the AI and data center sectors, as the partners seek to capitalize on the growing demand for computational power driven by artificial intelligence.
Hut 8’s commitment to deploying large-scale infrastructure underscores its strategic focus on supporting next-generation technologies, while also positioning the company for long-term growth in the evolving AI landscape.
