HP partners with OpenAI on Frontier AI rollout
- HP (NYSE:HPQ) will deploy OpenAI’s Frontier enterprise AI platform across its global operations.
- The rollout covers customer tools, workforce systems, engineering workflows, and partner-facing services.
- HP said early pilot testing reduced some security workflows from one month to one day.
HP (NYSE:HPQ) announced a strategic partnership with OpenAI to deploy its Frontier enterprise AI platform across HP’s global business operations.
The company said Frontier will be used across four areas, including customer and partner tools, workforce analytics, employee productivity systems, and engineering and software development workflows.
“HP is planning to build a more consistent experience across store, partner, chat, and voice experiences,” said HP Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer Prakash Arunkundrum.
HP said it began testing Frontier in February 2026, focusing on agent automation, security controls, and enterprise system integration before scaling deployment.
Pilot results cited by HP showed security review processes that previously took about one month were reduced to roughly one day, alongside productivity gains in software engineering workflows.
OpenAI described the partnership as an example of enterprise adoption of “agentic AI” systems integrated directly into business workflows and operational infrastructure.
HP said it plans to co-develop additional use cases with OpenAI focused on data integration, governance, and security as part of the broader rollout strategy.
