Horizon Aircraft (NASDAQ:HOVR) reported its third-quarter fiscal 2026 financial results on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, detailing a strengthened balance sheet and a series of manufacturing milestones intended to bring its flagship hybrid-electric aircraft to market by 2027.

The Toronto-based aerospace firm confirmed it holds $20 million in cash, a reserve management expects will fully fund planned development and operational requirements through the end of fiscal 2027.

This financial runway is critical as the company transitions from design to the capital-intensive full-scale assembly phase of the Cavorite X7, its proprietary seven-seat hybrid-electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

In a move to de-risk its supply chain and production timeline, Horizon announced two major manufacturing partnerships.

The company has teamed up with RAMPF Composite Solutions and North Aircraft Industries to support the fabrication of advanced composite structures and specialized aerospace components.

Furthermore, Horizon is continuing its technical collaboration with MHIRJ, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, to leverage regional jet maintenance and certification expertise.

Efficiency metrics were also a focal point of the report.

An independent evaluation recently estimated the operating cost of the Cavorite X7 at US$0.97 per available seat mile.

Management highlighted this figure as a significant competitive advantage, positioning the hybrid-electric aircraft as a cost-effective alternative to traditional light helicopters and short-haul turboprops for regional connectivity.
