
Halliburton wins Suriname deepwater contracts

Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) secured major integrated well construction contracts for the GranMorgu deepwater development offshore Suriname, operated by TotalEnergies, covering drilling and completion services under a long-term program.
The contract follows increased offshore energy activity in Suriname, with Halliburton planning to use integrated digital and automation systems to support planning, engineering and field operations.
Halliburton will deploy digital workflows, real-time data systems and remote operations controls for drilling and completions to improve well placement accuracy and delivery performance, while supporting TotalEnergies’ efforts to manage project costs.
The company did not disclose the financial value of the contracts; following the announcement, Halliburton shares were unchanged at $28.76.
Halliburton provides oilfield services, technologies and project solutions across drilling, completion and production operations globally.
The GranMorgu project also includes local infrastructure development, with Halliburton working with suppliers to upgrade a liquid mud and cement plant and support construction of Suriname’s first advanced drilling and completions workshop.
