- Hafnia (NYSE:HAFN) named Søren Steenberg Jensen as chief executive officer effective 1 September 2026.
- Mikael Skov will step down as CEO and transition to the board of directors, subject to shareholder approval.
- The company said the leadership change follows a long-planned succession after Skov led Hafnia since 2010.
Hafnia (NYSE:HAFN) said Chief Executive Officer Mikael Skov will step down on 1 September 2026, with EVP Søren Steenberg Jensen appointed as his successor.
The company said the transition follows more than a decade of leadership under Skov, during which Hafnia developed into a major product tanker operator.
“We thank Mikael for his outstanding leadership and commitment to Hafnia over many years,” said Hafnia Chairman Andreas Sohmen-Pao.
The company said Skov will join Hafnia’s board of directors after stepping down, subject to approval at an extraordinary general meeting, while Jensen will take over as CEO from 1 September 2026.
Hafnia said Skov has led the company since its establishment in 2010.
The company said Jensen, currently EVP and head of asset management, has been closely involved in Hafnia’s strategy and operations prior to his appointment.
Hafnia said its business focuses on product tanker shipping and global maritime transport services across energy and refined product routes.
