Glaukos (NYSE:GKOS) reported positive topline Phase 4 results showing iDose TR plus cataract surgery reduced mean diurnal intraocular pressure by 11.1 mmHg from baseline at Month 3.

Patients receiving cataract surgery alone recorded a 7.4 mmHg reduction, giving the iDose TR combination an incremental treatment effect of 3.6 mmHg with p<0.0001.

The GLK-101-04 study randomized 149 eyes, with 74 assigned to iDose TR plus cataract surgery and 75 to cataract surgery alone in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

Glaukos said iDose TR also showed superiority across all pre-specified secondary responder analyses, while safety findings remained consistent with prior experience.

No treatment-related adverse events involving corneal endothelial cell loss or cystoid macular edema were reported through three months, and no serious corneal adverse events occurred.

iDose TR is designed to continuously deliver a proprietary formulation of travoprost inside the eye for up to three years, reducing reliance on daily topical glaucoma medications.
